How to Clean Las Vegas Homes to Keep your Family Healthy

Owners of Las Vegas homes today are more focused on the dirty dishes, dirty laundry and the dust balls
on the carpet and forget other places when they do their regular cleaning. They
usually forget about their bedding, the shower doors and sometimes the
stuffed animals which breed a lot of bacteria, mildew and dust mites. Here are some tips when cleaning your home from top to bottom
making it sparkly clean and healthy.

From top to bottom. The out
sight type of areas are the dirtiest which include the ceiling fans, the bookshelves
and the top of the door frames. The areas mentioned usually harbor a lot of
dust which should be wiped down on a regular basis to avoid the buildup.
Starting from the very top and working downward is a good routine because dust
falls on the ground, which will be the last phase of the cleaning process.

Windows and walls. The old fashion
way of cleaning windows or walls is a bad habit, such as using newspaper which causes
ink residue or the usage of paper towels which leaves lint behind. The best
way of cleaning is by using a microfiber cloth and by using a professional
window squeegee to leave a streak-free, spotless shine. Applying of lemon oil
to doors – twice a month will help stop streaks on shower doors or walls. This
will fend off shampoo or soap scum while getting a polish.

Beware of dust. Dust mites
can be found almost anywhere. The American Lung Association estimated that
approximately 4 out of 5 homes in the US have dust mite allergens in at
least one bed. Encasement of mattress’ and pillows, washing of the beddings in
hot water once a week greatly reduces dust mites. While dust mites are can’t be
seen by the naked eye, placing strips of duct tape on the mattress case can
also help prevent dust mites from getting in.

Filter.
While cleaning the visible parts of Las Vegas homes is important, cleaning what you can’t see is as crucial –
the air you breathe in. Particles like pollen, smoke, pet dander and dust mite
debris can be caught by using an air filter in the home. Changing of the filter
must be done seasonally or at least every three months.

Freeze stuffed animals. Stuffed animals can also have dust mites, which is why it is
important to never leave them out of the cleaning routine. For about four to
five hours, freeze the stuffed animal while placed in a plastic bag, and
then use a vacuum with a HEPA filter to help remove any leftover dust
particles in order to easily help keep it clean and dust mite free.
