LAS VEGAS (April 10, 2015) The recent Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices national conference in Las Vegas yielded top-level awards for one local firm. Americana Holdings, which includes the largest Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices franchises in both Nevada and Arizona, was recognized as the company’s fourth largest franchise in the world with two of its teams recognized among the organization’s top 20.

“Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has become the premier brand in residential real estate and we are thrilled to be recognized among the organization’s top franchises, top teams and top offices in the country,” said Mark Stark, CEO of Americana Holdings, which includes both franchises. “The brand is now known globally as a leader in technology, marketing and overall representation of buyers and sellers.”

At the 2015 Berkshire Hathaway Sales Convention, held last month in Las Vegas, several Nevada and Arizona teams and offices were recognized. The franchise itself was named the #4 franchise in the organization. Shapiro & Sher Group, long recognized as the top luxury real estate sales team in Nevada, was named the #2 team among thousands across the country. And two Las Vegas offices were recognized in the top 10 most productive throughout the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices organization.

“These recognitions show our teams and their clients that no matter what the markets look like, we are a tenacious and effective advocate for our clients,” said Stark. “Most of the other top awards are where you expect them to be…in California, New York, Chicago and other densely populated markets. But our teams in Nevada and Arizona sold a record $2.7 billion in real estate sales last year, demonstrating that success is achievable in any size market.”

Shapiro & Sher Group, a Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties team, was named the #2 team in the country, based on sales volume. Shapiro & Sher Group sold $184.3 million in Southern Nevada luxury homes in 2014. The team was also #1 in the state of Nevada among all real estate teams and franchises for 2014.

The Joffe Group, Arizona’s top luxury real estate team, was named #12 in the country among all Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices teams. Led by Robert Joffe, the team sold $124.5 million in Arizona real estate last year.

And two Las Vegas Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices offices were recognized among the top 10 among 1,100 offices in 47 states. The company’s St. Rose office was #2 in units sold and #6 in sales volume. Its Sahara office was #6 in units sold.

“From multi-million dollar estates to single family homes and everything in between, we are happy to represent Berkshire Hathaway as one of the top franchises in their global organization,” said Stark. “We look forward to continued success in the future.”
