A palatial residence in Henderson, Nevada, about 20 minutes outside of Las Vegas, hit the market Tuesday for $32.5 million, making it the highest-priced single-family home on the market in the area.
Located in the prestigious Seven Hills community, the three-story home has 14,207 square feet of living space with four bedrooms and nine bathrooms, according to the listing with the Ivan Sher Group of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties.
The home was built in 2017 for Mark Lindsey, owner of the smart home automation company Eagle Sentry, who bought the 0.88-acre lot in 2014 for $1.08 million, property records show.
It includes a security system with biometric scan entries and 32 cameras, 12 motorized doors, sound and video systems throughout the property, and more than 20,000 feet of heated indoor and outdoor tile flooring, according to the listing.
“The home has a full-spectrum LED lighting package, which changes colors for different holidays and moods,” said Mr. Sher, principal of The Ivan Sher Group. “When you see the house, you are instantly grabbed by the emotions and details.”
Standout features of the home include a glass elevator, three climate-controlled garages with space to accommodate an RV or up to 12 vehicles, and a car lift that goes directly to the outside of the primary bedroom suite, Mr. Sher said.
“This is the most feature-rich home I’ve ever seen, and it boasts gorgeous views of the Los Vegas Strip,” he added.
Resort-like amenities include a media room, a games room, a fitness center, a wine cellar, a basketball court, a rock climbing gym, a casino-inspired den with a wet bar, a pool table, a professional Texas Hold’em table, a shuffleboard and an air hockey table, according to Mr. Sher.
Outdoors, there is a nine-hole mini golf course, a swimming pool, a kitchen with firepits, a pizza oven, a teppanyaki grill, and an ice cream machine, Mr. Sher said.
“Almost everything in this home is either a piece of art or has a wow factor,” he said.
The property is currently the most expensive in Southern Nevada, although there are some undeveloped parcels on offer at a higher price, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
“We have seen an influx of sophisticated luxury buyers from California, Chicago, New York, where taxes are very high,” Mr. Sher said. “In a year or two, I expect the most expensive home in the area will top $50 million with the level of construction and a whole set of expectations from luxury buyers we are seeing.”
The seller, Mr. Lindsey, was not immediately available for comment. The most expensive home ever sold in Southern Nevada was a 15,000-square-foot residence in Henderson, which was purchased by billionaire Anthony Hsieh, founder of mortgage firm LoanDepot, for $25 million in late June.
