Well known for its extravagance, Caesars Palace is one of the most luxurious architectural masterpieces on the Las Vegas strip. It’s allure is so magnificent that Jerry Zarowitz translated the hotel’s design to his very own Palm Springs home. Decades ago, Zarowitz was known as the unofficial boss of Caesars and decided to pay homage to the hotel with a grand real estate move.
Designed by architecture firm Buff & Hensman, the home closely resembled Caesars Palace in the 1970s. Over the years, the property has truly seen it all. It has welcomed a list of A-list celebrities, including two United States presidents, Frank Sinatra and a variety of other stars during the 1970s era.
Recently refurbished, the Caesars Palace home is back on the market for $11.8 million. Listed by Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices California Properties, the house is located in the exclusice Rose Hill enclave in La Palmas Heights in Palm Springs. The 8,000-square-foot home spreads across five bedrooms and seven baths. Throughout the refurbishment, the bones of the estate were untouched, but the interior underwent a face lift and now totes a newly added guest house and modern technological upgrades. The whole home being operated by a built-in Amazon Alexa system, just one of the many new features.
“The owners were adamant about respecting the home’s history when they chose pieces for the redesign,” listing agent Louise Hampton said. “Many of the original furnishings that could be restored were kept in the home and refurbished, while other pieces that were brought into the home were also from the 1970s era”.
Because of this goal, the home still features Roman-inspired style throughout the property. There are gold inlays in the floors, an exact replica of the Caesars Palace original iron railings and the putting green and golf flags are marked with the casinos symbol.
The estate continues its homage through it’s stunning Great Room in a 70s-esque sunken sitting area. The space is true to its name and is no doubt the centerpiece for the property with its extravagant decorations. A poker table, a huge crystal chandelier that lights up the room, a wide stone fireplace and a vintage grand piano that all lead to the even more astounding outdoor space. The resort-style yard has an angular pool with a separate spa area and a fire feature that is big enough to keep all your friends and family warm on a chilly desert night.
Finally, the property also has not one but two kitchens all designed with new Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances. The first is a galley kitchen just beyond the great room and is separated from the large dining area by the floating wine cellar. The second kitchen is for a chef and is big enough to accommodate any catering for events that the owners may host. If that’s not enough for you to be amazed, then the master suite, that takes up the whole east wing might be. Containing a comfortable sitting area with a fireplace; a spa-like bathroom with double shower heads and two large closets with its own private laundry space, you won’t ever have to leave.
