Real Estate is “An Action Business”
Since joining the XCEED Program, we’ve been interviewing Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices network members who are Luxury Presence clients to gather insights on their marketing strategies. We hope you enjoy this next success story!
“Real estate is a verb.”
That’s Lisa Quam’s philosophy on success in our industry. If she’s not attending a walk-through with a client, she’s probably door-knocking or popping into one of her team members’ open houses.
“Our business is an action business,” said the leader of The Lisa Quam Group, based in Las Vegas. “We are out there in the community. Our lives are out there; if [prospects] can know us as a person, it breaks down barriers.”
Quam translates this belief into her mentorship. She regularly encourages new agents to turn their passions into client events that demonstrate their commitment to the Las Vegas community. For agents looking to serve young professionals, she suggests wine and charcuterie nights. Those with a passion for animal welfare may find success hosting an event at the local dog park.
“Lead with authenticity,” she advises. “Anything you put energy into, it’s going to come back to you, but it depends on how much energy.”
Quam noted she’s planning to add an events section to her Luxury Presence website to promote future gatherings and highlight past ones. This reflects her thoughtful approach to her online presence, down to incorporating her signature into her website’s font.
“Your online brand should reflect who you are as a person,” she said. “I wanted it to put forth an air of elegance because that’s my brand.”
Even with her emphasis on community presence, Quam credits her Luxury Presence website for giving her the tools necessary to help prospects, clients, and fellow real estate professionals recognize her luxury brand online: “They know just by looking at it that I’m a serious broker.”
